A NIGHT OF HIGH-FASHION AND HOSPITALITY

A buzzy celebration for Equinox’s newest venture

The vibe was decidedly lively on a recent Thursday as Fashion Week revelers gathered to celebrate the June opening of Equinox’s inaugural hotel in Manhattan’s Hudson Yards. Though the event took place at the penthouse of the Zaha Hadid–designed High Line building, which measures almost 7,000 square feet, partygoers concentrated in two areas of the sprawling property: the expansive window-walled living room and an interactive, neon-lit installation known as “the box.”

The latter, a mirrored room that produced a kaleidoscope of reflections when entered, was a magnetic force throughout the evening, drawing guests like Kate Moss, Natasha Poonawalla, and more. The box itself also served as the backdrop of the Equinox Hotel launch campaign, a short film with Nick Knight’s SHOWstudio, featuring fashion icon Naomi Campbell.

Upstairs, guests enjoyed the epic playlists of DJ Fat Tony along with some spinning from Campbell herself. Before long, a full-on dance party, led by artist Young Paris, spilled out across the room. Those who wanted to cool off in between rounds of cocktails and conversation took to the rooftop, where an outdoor lounge area and window seating offered a breath of (chilly) fresh air.

Here, a selection of snapshots and soundbites from the evening.
