How I Travel: Jessica Springsteen
The equestrian and model packs light and has a morning ritual.
1. Pack the essentials.
“Since I’m usually on the go, I do have to pack light. My must-haves are sunscreen, deodorant, and a water bottle. It’s so important to protect your skin and hydrate, especially in summer heat.”
2. Find a way to unwind.
“My mind is most relaxed when I’m riding. It’s a great escape. A good long run helps clear my head, too.”
3. Fuel yourself well.
“I like to start my day with a cup of hot water and lemon or an iced coffee with almond milk, followed by some form of protein. Because I’m often on the go, I like to grab something easy, like a Quest Bar or an avocado, for a mid-morning snack.”
4. …but treat yourself in moderation.
“I generally eat healthy, but I believe it’s important to give into your cravings.”
5. Return to favorite haunts.
“Paris is one of the most magical places I’ve visited. I always love returning to the city.
Recently I had some downtime and went to the Louvre.”
6. Have a summer uniform.
“In the summer, I keep it pretty casual. I’m almost always in sandals and jean shorts with a Ralph Lauren polo shirt or a light dress.”
