Collagen powder is trending for its connection to a youthful appearance and potential fitness benefits. “It adds extra protein for an energizing morning,” says New York City-based recipe developer Julia Gartland.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup mixed frozen berries
  • 1 cup spinach leaves
  • ½ frozen banana
  • ¼ cup mint leaves
  • 1 tablespoon cacao nibs
  • 1 scoop collagen powder
  • 1 cup cashew-macadamia milk

TOPPINGS (OPTIONAL)

  • Fresh mixed berries
  • Coconut flakes
  • Cacao nibs
  • Hemp seeds
  • Chia seeds
  • Pine pollen

Directions

  1. Add the first six ingredients into a freezer bag or glass jar and store in the freezer. Store the milk separately in the fridge.


TO SERVE

  1. In a high-powered blender, add all ingredients and blend for one minute or until very smooth.  Garnish with toppings as desired and serve immediately.
