Spiced yogurt

Amp up the heat with your favorite hot sauce.

“Greek yogurt is the most versatile condiment and a great healthy staple to have on hand,” says Denver-based recipe developer Julia Heffelfinger. “I like to add different spices or pastes like harissa or miso for a quick savory crema that’s great for grain bowls, dolloped on roasted vegetables, or as a sauce for proteins.”

Yields about ½ cup

½ cup 2% Greek Yogurt
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 small garlic clove, finely grated
1 teaspoon hot sauce
¼ teaspoon ground cumin
Kosher salt


In a small bowl, whisk all of the ingredients plus two tablespoons of water together until smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
Place in an airtight container and store in the fridge for up to one week.
