Easy Red Harissa
This versatile condiment can be made in less than 15 minutes.

Makes ½ cup
- 1 large red bell pepper
- ½ cup red onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- ½ teaspoon caraway seeds
- ¼ teaspoon ground cumin
- ¼ teaspoon ground coriander
- ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
- 2 red jalapeños, seeded and diced
- 1½ tablespoons lemon juice
- ¼ teaspoon sea salt
- ⅛ teaspoon black pepper
Place bell pepper under broiler to char, about 7 minutes.
Once entire pepper is charred, remove the skin, stem, and seeds.
Place meat of pepper in blender with remaining ingredients and puree until smooth.
Store in a container in the fridge until ready for use as a condiment or ingredient.
