Unzipped: Mauricio Umansky
The CEO and co-founder of real estate powerhouse The Agency unpacks his gym bag.
Mauricio Umansky lives, works and plays amid the rarefied polish of Los Angeles—selling highly exclusive homes around the world through his real estate company, The Agency, and appearing on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, which stars his wife, Kyle Richards. With access to every facet of the good life, there's one luxury he never denies himself. “Working out is important to stay balanced, especially when I get really busy," says Umanksy, who prefers boxing and swimming. "Staying fit gives me more energy in everyday life and keeps me healthy, both mentally and physically. When I’m fit, it reflects in the business I’m doing at The Agency; it’s all connected.” Below, the businessman shares the essentials behind his sessions.
Adidas gym bag
“The material is durable, I love how many pockets it has, and it’s the ideal size. I can fit everything I need and then some.”
Under Armour Speedform Apollo
“These running shoes are great - lightweight, super comfortable and even kind of stylish. I prefer them in black.”
Bose SIE2i sport headphones
“These headphones are always with me when I work out. They fit comfortably in my ears and never fall out, no matter what I’m doing. Plus, the sound is fantastic – it’s like listening to a hi-fi stereo.”
Nike heavy resistance band
“Portable, light, strong and wonderful for all sorts of exercises. I like to use this at home and keep one in my gym bag just in case.”
“They may not be the newest energy bars around, but Clif Bars are still a great supplement. With plenty of flavors, they don’t get too old, and they really hit the spot after a long workout.”
Nautica harborside towels
“These bamboo towels are soft, super light and they fight mildew and bacteria, so they don’t stink up your bag.”
Speedo vanquisher goggles
“There’s nothing like a good swim – and decent goggles are a must. I use the Speedo Vanquisher, which fits great, has adjustable nose pieces and let me get into my groove.”
