When he achieved viral fame at just 14 years old, Austin Mahone was often referred to as the next Justin Bieber. Nine years later, listeners might be more likely to compare him to Justin Timberlake. His new career phase is built on a series of pop tracks including “Dancing With Nobody” and the recent single “Why Don’t We” (penned by fellow pop star Charlie Puth).
Healthy food and exercise are central to Mahone’s life. “I stay fit by really watching what I eat and put into my body, and I try to get daily exercise in no matter what,” he says. He’s quick to note, though, that it’s not always easy balancing diet and workout goals with a busy life on the road. ”There are way too many late nights and early mornings. It’s the times when I don’t want to get a workout in that I need to go the most.”
Mahone created a playlist for Furthermore with tracks that help him power through, including artists like Ariana Grande, Future, and Tyler, the Creator.
