Husband-and-wife duo Chad Robertson and Liz Prueitt of San Francisco’s beloved Tartine Bakery are collaborating with Chris Bianco of Phoenix’s famed Pizzeria Bianco on a nearly 40,000 square-foot project called The Manufactory. Situated in Row DTLA, a growing collective of shops, restaurants, and creative work spaces in downtown LA, it will comprise of a bakery, market, café, dinner-only restaurant, coffee lab and roastery. The Manufactory will open in phases starting in mid-January.

watch the espn winter x games

Adrenaline and high-profile musical acts converge at the Winter X Games, ESPN’s annual high-altitude showcase of extreme snow sports held at Aspen’s Buttermilk Mountain. Expect more than 200 athletes competing in skiing, snowboarding, and snowmobiling competitions—Olympic Gold medalist Chloe Kim is among the invitees—along with performances by The Chainsmokers, Kygo, and Lil Wayne. The Winter X Games runs from January 24 to 27.

Each January, winter sports haven Park City, Utah, transforms into a destination for cinema buffs with the annual Sundance Film Festival. This year, moviegoers will be able to choose from 112 feature-length films (selected from a record-breaking 14,259 submissions), including noteworthy sports-centric picks like Brittany Runs a Marathon (pictured left). The festival runs from January 24 to February 3.
