How the cookbook author hosts a festive soirée

For best-selling cookbook author Julia Turshen, the day after hosting a dinner party may be just as delicious as the evening itself. The illustrious home cook recently released her third book, Now & Again, which was inspired by her love of reinventing leftovers.

“It’s a book of menus with simple recipes along with tons of ideas for things to do with the leftovers,” she says of the title, which is ideal for casual weeknight dinners and large gatherings alike.

Turshen’s newest book joins Small Victories, a compilation of over 400 recipes, and Feed the Resistance, a “handbook for political activism” peppered with recipes and essays.
