Australian singer-songwriter Vance Joy is a towering presence both literally (he’s 6’4”) and figuratively. It was the ubiquitous acoustic smash “Riptide” and subsequent chart-topping album, Dream Your Life Away, that thrust the artist born James Keogh into the upper echelons of music.
In celebration of his sophomore album Nation of Two, which drops February 23, the former gardener crafted a playlist for Furthermore which serves as the perfect soundtrack for a gym visit. “Push-ups are my go-to workout,” he says. “Though this morning I was doing some flips on my skateboard in my hotel room. Whoever stays below me doesn’t like that very much.”
