Cold brew smoothie

Start your morning with this energizing, five-ingredient recipe.

The caffeine in this drink can help boost an endurance workout. When combined with potassium-rich banana, heart-healthy cashews, and antioxidant-packed reishi powder, the resulting smoothie has a luscious chocolatey taste, says New York City-based recipe developer Julia Gartland.

Ingredients

1 large frozen banana
¼ cup raw cashews
½ teaspoon reishi powder
1 cup cold brew
Pinch of sea salt

Add banana, cashews, and reishi powder to a freezer bag or glass jar and store in the freezer. Store the cold brew separately in the fridge.

In a high-powered blender, add all ingredients. Blend for one minute or until completely smooth.  Garnish with toppings as desired and serve immediately.
