24 Hours in Chicago
The co-owners of men's boutique Haberdash whisk us through a day in the Windy City.
Chicago men's boutique Haberdash is the city's go-to source for natty dressers in pursuit of brands both classic (Barbour) and hard-to-find (Grown & Sewn). Which makes co-owners Adam Beltzman and Jerry Kamhi two of the city's most stylishly influential. When not busy maintaining Haberdash's two locations, the pair is immersed in the city's restaurant scene and local culture: They recently tapped 10 of the city's top chefs and restaurateurs to star in their Spring/Summer lookbook. Here, the menswear aficionados take us through their ultimate day.
Brunch at The Publican
“Hands down the best brunch in the city. We recommend the red wine poached eggs with la quercia prosciutto and béarnaise sauce. It’s divine.”
Green City Market
“Every Saturday morning it’s the place to be. The people watching is as good as the fresh produce. You’re shopping with the best chefs in the city who are shopping for the absolute best produce around for their restaurants.”
Biking or walking the lakefront
“It’s at its best Sunday morning before the crowd hits. Be sure to walk to the end of Navy Pier for a deep breath of Lake Michigan air.”
Air and Water Show
“Spectacular view any day, but especially over-the-top with the Blue Angels flying directly overhead. They're so close you can wave to the pilot.”
“View of the skyline from the Great Lawn makes you proud to be a Chicagoan.”
Eat at Big Star
“Be prepared to wait for a table, but we assure you it is well worth it. Spend the evening on the outdoor patio for gourmet tacos, the best guacamole in the city, and craft whiskey."
Watch a Cubs game
“A Cubs game at Wrigley Field is a classic Chicago tradition. The green ivy, a day game, and 7th inning stretch — the perfect trio.”
Dinner at Piccolo Sogno
“Best outdoor patio with the best Italian food in the city. Period.”
Outdoor concert at Ravinia
“There’s nothing like dining on the lawn with good friends and a good bottle of wine. It doesn’t matter who's playing, it’s the perfect summer night.”
