Leaving the gym with wet hair is sometimes inevitable. You used your time to focus on your hour-long yoga class or clocking in the miles on the treadmill that you have to limit your locker room session and get on with the day. But Justine Marjan, stylist and editorial director for Mane Addicts, has a solution for your post-gym 'do: the sleek chignon. The low bun is easy to style with wet hair, and only takes a couple of minutes to complete. Remember to grab a few bobby pins for this look, and Marjan says to keep them closed and use the ridge-side against your head. "The style lasts longer when you use those tricks," she says. Watch the how-to video and follow her instructions below to get the look.
Step 1 Start on damp or freshly washed hair.
Step 2 Use a fine-toothed comb to slick your hair back into a low pony, securing with an elastic band.
Step 3 Twist the length of the pony until the very end, securing with another elastic band.
Step 4 Loop the twist around, creating a knot, but don’t pull the ends through.
Step 5 Use bobby pins to secure the chignon.
